Mondou Mondon for the Shelters 2025 Fundraising Campaign
Mondou (2025)
These four lively, animation-ready characters helped put a face to Mondou’s 2026 campaign supporting animal shelters across Québec, contributing to a record-breaking $430,000 raised. I also illustrated a 16-page coloring book starring the same characters, distributed in all 100 Mondou stores as part of the campaign’s limited-edition fundraising initiatives.

A Peek Behind the Art
What an absolute treat it was to get that first email from Mondou’s Creative Director, Dominique, asking if I’d like to bring an illustrative flavor to the 8th edition of their beautiful, heartfelt fundraising campaign.
The goal was to create four colorful, charming characters inspired by the real-life animal ambassadors of their 2026 campaign. The main challenge? Making sure each character was detailed enough to be recognizable, yet simple and modular enough to be animated smoothly by the motion design team, and adaptable for linework in a high-quality coloring book.
Each character was delivered as a layered PSD, carefully prepared to support the animation process. I then created 16 original coloring pages reflecting each ambassador’s personality and daily life, giving colorists of all ages a way to connect with the animals behind the cause, and helping drive fundraising efforts in all 100 Mondou stores across Québec.
The result? A record-breaking $430,000 raised, helping fund veterinary care, sterilization, shelter renovations, and public awareness campaigns around responsible adoption.
